Insulated Dual Wall Stacks Are Used Primarily To Retain Heat And Prevents The Corrosive Flue Gas Temperature From Falling Below The Acid Dew Point. When A More Costly Corrosion Resistant Material Is Warranted, A Dual Wall Arrangement Can Be Used. The Carbon Steel Outer Shell Provides Structural Support For The Thinner Wall Flue Constructed From An Alloy Or Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP).
